Chetek Fly-In and Boat Rally 2012Greetings from northern Wisconsin: We have set the date for the 2012 Chetek Boat Rally for Sunday, August 5, 2012. The rally will again be held at the Chetek Airport. Once again the Chetek Historical Society will host our part of the event along with the Chetek Airport Fly-In committee. The rally will be held at the Chetek Airport and this year we will feature wood, aluminium and fiberglass boats and canoes manufactured in Wisconsin. Well over 100 boat manufactures built boats in Wisconsin dating back to the late 1800's. Many of these boats have never been seen and few of the early produced boats may not even exist, but we thought it would be a unique event if some were present for the public to view and learn their history. If any of you have a boat motor collection and would like to bring those for viewing that would be appropriated too. We could use the help with promoting this event and would appreciate everyone's help. |
